Amber Park, PhD
Research Associate 2015-2016 Cystic Fibrosis Canada Kin Fellow Amber studies the process of biofilm formation by the opportunistic pathogen Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Her project examines how environmental factors, host determinants, and strain-related differences impact this fundamental process, which contributes to bacterial pathogenesis, persistence, and antimicrobial resistance. Amber is using a multidisciplinary approach that combines molecular microbiology, cell culture, microscopy, and proteomics. Amber is the recipient of a research fellowship from Cystic Fibrosis Canada. |
