"We believe that understanding the relationships between bacteria and their environment will lead to preventing disease and promoting health. We probe these relationships at the cellular level by combining high-resolution microscopy with molecular, biochemical and biophysical techniques. We also elucidate protein-protein interactions that govern essential cellular functions, assess the impact of antimicrobial treatment on clinical bacterial isolates, and explore the cellular interactions that promote bacterial biofilm formation and host attachment."

Our lab works closely with the Molecular and Cellular Imaging and Mass Spectrometry Facilities at the University of Guelph. Both Facilities are located in the Summerlee Science Complex and are part of the Advanced Analysis Centre.
We are also partners with the
G. Magnotta Research Lab and members of Canadian Lyme Consortium.
