Madison Wright, BSc
Madison graduated from the University of Guelph’s Bachelor of Science program with a major in microbiology (co-op stream), a minor in biotechnology, and a Food Science Certificate. She completed a 2 semester fourth year research project in the Khursigara laboratory researching intraspecies interactions between epidemic and unique clinical isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated from patients and collected from a strain biobank. She will continue researching in the Khursigara laboratory during her Ph.D., focusing on host-pathogen interactions relevant to patients with cystic fibrosis. The intracellular mode of survival of P. aeruginosa is of particular interest in her research. |
