Sarah Kirst, BSc
Sarah graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science Co-op (Hons.) with a major in Biology and a specialization in Molecular Genetics. Her passion for studying bacteriophage started during her third co-op in third year with Dr. Anany at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC). Sarah is currently a MSc student in the Molecular and Cellular Biology program at the University of Guelph under the supervision of Dr. Khursigara and Dr. Anany. For her MSc project, Sarah will be evaluating the application of bacteriophage and silver nanoparticles to combat Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilms present in wound infections.
